This is mostly to try out an external blogging application that I have installed on my Linux laptop. (It’s the same object as the Windows object, just dual-booting into Ubuntu Dapper Linux.)
I’m trying to get my Digigram VxPocket sound card working on this system, which is frustrating (as all things dealing with Linux sound tend to be), There’s a web page that would appear to tell how to get things to work, but results have been spotty. And my keyboard (the one I type on — I haven’t dealt with my MIDI keyboard yet) has locked up twice, requiring me to reboot the Window manager.
I’m about to try the IRC channel for Linux audio. Assuming that I don’t get the frequent Bad Attitude Gang that seems to handle so much Linux support, I may have good news soon.
Or I may just have to go into a quiet room and scream.
