The Book of Voices
Brief text arias from the voices of people in the Jewish Bible. The identities of the people are chosen from the text of the Bible by chance operations, with no person being chosen more than once.
The project began during Passover, 2007. I posted new entries once a week, with some weeks off for other responsibilities and projects, through Passover, 2008. Since then, I’ve written a few more to fill out the story and have been doing a general rewrite. Target date for completion of this draft is April 18.
The initial versions of each story, as they are written, are posted online at thebookofvoices.com. The site includes indexes to the stories and details about its creation.
